About Lisa
I’m a data visualization enthusiast and systems thinker who deeply loves turning raw data into real impact. I serve as the Technology Systems Lead at BCA Church, a vibrant faith community in Snohomish County, Washington, where I get to blend my passion for data with meaningful, mission-driven work like BCA’s local outreach, Bethany Compassion Center. Whether it’s optimizing workflows, improving systems, or visualizing outreach efforts, I believe the right tech—used wisely—can help people flourish.
I hold a Master’s in Information Management with a focus in Business Intelligence from the University of Washington. My background includes experience as a database administrator and data visualization specialist, primarily in nonprofit technology. I also hold a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Northwest University and certifications in Data Visualization, Database Administration, and Paralegal Studies. I enjoy combining design principles with analytical rigor to help students communicate data-driven insights effectively.
In addition to my role at BCA, I’m an instructor in the University of Washington’s Data Visualization Certificate Program (with a focus on using Tableau), where I mentor future data storytellers.
I live in Mukilteo, Washington, with my husband, Rob. I’m a proud mom to three sons, a mother-in-law to two wonderful daughters-in-law, and a grandma to four adorable grandchildren. I’m also a devoted dog mom to Rexx, our golden retriever, and bunny mom to our Holland Lops, Perl, and Java.
