I’m a data visualization enthusiast at heart. I spend most of my time as Technology Systems Lead at BCA Church, a faith community doing the vital work of helping those in need in Snohomish County, Washington, where my two loves (data viz and systems) collide. I love seeing how visualizing data can make data analysis quicker and easier, revealing data insights that can turn into catalysts for positive change. I also am an instructor and assist with grading student assignment submissions in the University of Washington's Data Visualization Certificate Program.
I live in Mukilteo, Washington, am a wife to Rob, a mother to 3 sons: Reggie, Quinn, and Britt, a mother-in-law to Rachael and Emma, and a grandmother to my grandson, Rowan, and granddaughter, Lilly. I am a dog mom to Rexx, our golden retriever, and a bunny mom to two Holland Lops, Perl, and Java. Most of the reflections in my Diary are posts about my family and travel experiences (because travel is a must when your kids live all over the world).
I hope this blog inspires you to share your learning experiences with others. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on Twitter!
